The creation of liveable and functional environment within towns is an important aspect of town planning. Layout design of the townships needs to focus on the social, economic and recreational aspect as well as the formal functional aspect. A major aspect is the creation of neighbourhood parks and public open space systems that can be beautified by street furniture, tree planning and street lights.
